Methods of preventing pregnancy have come a long way since the early days of fish bladders and the rhythm method. With societal changes, such as the industrial revolution and the advancement of women's rights, topics that previously had been 'taboo' began to be discussed. One of the many outcomes of social reform was an increased availability and reliability of contraceptive products.
